Seafarers featuring 1 Hotel & Homes Melbourne is Riverlee’s $600 million redevelopment of North Wharf, transforming over 200 metres of uninterrupted Yarra River frontage into a mixed-use riverfront precinct.
Anchored by Australia’s first 1 Hotel & Homes, the project integrates 277 hotel rooms with 114 hotel-branded residences, delivering a hospitality-and-residential model that provides long-term value and premium owner-occupier appeal.
A key component of the project is the adaptive reuse of Goods Shed No. 5, Melbourne’s last remaining wharfside cargo shed. More than 2,000 elements from the original structure have been salvaged, restored and reincorporated into the design. The shed now houses a mix of hospitality, retail and function spaces, including a ground-floor restaurant, lounge bar, café, retail and a 1,000sqm event centre, with the original heritage crane retained as a feature.
Located in Docklands, the precinct establishes a new public interface with the river, delivering improved access and linking into the broader waterfront regeneration of Melbourne’s CBD.
