Scape Leicester is a purpose-built student accommodation project comprising 296 private and shared apartments across 15 storeys, located within Melbourne’s education precinct. The development has been designed to balance high-density living with amenity, sustainability and community connection.
Delivered by SCAPE and designed by BayleyWard, the project integrates passive design principles, modular construction and high-performance materials. It also features a new pedestrian laneway, ground-floor retail, rooftop gardens and extensive shared spaces — including study zones, a gym and a communal kitchen — that foster resident wellbeing and social interaction.
Scape Leicester is Australia’s first PBSA project to achieve a 6 Star Green Star Design & As Built rating, setting a new benchmark for environmentally conscious student living.
TUD+ member attendees of this guided site tour will gain practical insight into:
- Designing for density and liveability in constrained urban sites
