Before submitting your entry to The Urban Leader Awards, confirm your eligibility by reviewing the Entry Guidelines document.

ELIGIBILITY
Generally speaking, the awards are open to individuals working within organisations that operate within the property industry in Australia.
The award is open to individuals of all ages (excluding the Future Leader (Under 35) category) who are either owners, shareholders, directors, C-suite executives, principals, associates, consultants or any other professional in a firm.
Applicants can be an individual or multiple individuals (3 or less) provided that the eligibility requirements above are satisfied.
Specific category eligibility is included within the detailed Entry Guidelines.
JUDGING
Judging for The Urban Leader Awards commencing after nominations close and a shortlist of finalists is selected.
Our panel of independent judges, drawn from across the property industry, alongside a group of The Urban Developer’s internal team of property experts, delivers an independent and robust selection process.
Categories are evaluated based on specific weighted criteria, emphasising excellence in leadership, growth, innovation, responsibility and bravery.

Your application must be submitted through the awards platform to be considered eligible. You may submit multiple entries.

Early Bird Rate (Closes Thursday 21 August)
- First entry: $295 ex GST.
- Second entry: $245 ex GST
- Subsequent entries: $225 ex GST

Standard Rate (Closes Friday 12 September)
- First entry: $395 ex GST.
- Second entry: $345 ex GST
- Subsequent entries: $300 ex GST

FINALISTS ANNOUNCED
The finalists for each category will be announced through The Urban Developer from Wednesday, 4 September 2025
AWARDS GALA NIGHT
Winners will be announced during an Awards Gala Night in Sydney.

The URBAN LEADER AWARDS, presented by The Urban Developer, has been designed to recognise the incredible achievement of individuals and small groups of individuals (3 or less) across 17 categories in property.
The categories span development, architecture and design, planning, sustainability, construction, finance, legal, valuation and advisory, real estate, marketing, technology and the community.
Each category is assessed against a criteria that includes: leadership, growth, innovation, bravery, responsibility and x-factor.
The weighted judging system will be assessed by The Urban Developer’s team of property industry experts.
As The Urban Developer has grown into Asia-Pacific’s leading independent media, events and education network for the property industry, we have become increasingly conscious of our need to recognise and promote excellence in the industry.
The awards provide a platform for us to celebrate leadership and success in the industry, whilst providing a showcase to the broader community of the incredible individuals that are positively shaping our cities.
We believe that by doing so, we will continue to promote a better industry that will contribute to better and more sustainable urban, economic and social outcomes.
The inaugural URBAN LEADER AWARDS is an opportunity for you, a member of your team, a project collaborator or an industry colleague to be recognised for excellence by The Urban Developer, Australia’s leading media platform for the property industry.
